Taxonomy
Heteroceras veratiae was named by Frau et al. (2016). Its type specimen is FCC.8A, a shell ('), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Bed B44, Podestat–Pouli, which is in a Barremian offshore shelf wackestone in France.
