Taxonomy
Leptorophus raischi was named by Schoch (2014). Its type specimen is UGKU 1800, a partial skeleton, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Obermoschel , which is in an Autunian lacustrine sandstone/claystone in the Meisenheim Formation of Germany.
