Taxonomy
Cypraea strombecki was named by Kaunhowen (1898) [Binkhurst in Kaunhowen 1898]. It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Cotentin Peninsula, which is in a Maastrichtian deep subtidal wackestone in the Calcaires à Baculites Formation of France.
It was recombined as Cyproglobina (Cyproglobina) strombecki by Schilder (1927), Groves (1994).
