Heminautilus stantoni

Taxonomy
Vorticoceras stantoni was named by Scott (1940). Its type specimen is USNM 103260, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is M15, near Murfreesboro, which is in an Aptian carbonate limestone in the Dierks Formation of Arkansas.

It was recombined as Heminautilus stantoni by Baudouin et al. (2016).
