Taxonomy
Sclerocephalus jogischneideri was named by Werneburg (1992). It is not extant. Its type specimen is FG 321/1/129, a skull. Its type locality is Road-cut uphill of Gottlob quarry, which is in an Asselian terrestrial horizon in the Oberhof Formation of Germany.
