Protoalligator huiningensis
Taxonomy
Eoalligator huiningensis was named by Young (1982). Its type specimen is IVPP V4058, a skull, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Dinghuawu (IVPP locality 71080), which is in a Paleocene terrestrial horizon in the Wanghudun Formation of China. It is the type species of Protoalligator.
It was recombined as Protoalligator huiningensis by Wang et al. (2016).
