Taxonomy
Bicuspidon smikros was named by Nydam (2013). Its type specimen is UMNH VP 11627 (partial right dentary with three teeth) and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is UMNH VP Loc. 162, Cedar Canyon roadcut, which is in a Cenomanian/Cenomanian floodplain mudstone/sandstone in the Naturita Formation of Utah.
