Dakotasaurus gillettorum
Taxonomy
Dakotasaurus gillettorum was named by Nydam (2013). Its type specimen is MNA V9110, a mandible (partial right mandible), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is MNA 1067, Bulldog Bench, which is in a Cenomanian/Cenomanian crevasse splay mudstone in the Naturita Formation of Utah. It is the type species of Dakotasaurus, Dakotaseps.
It was recombined as Dakotaseps gillettorum by Nydam (2014).
