Headonophis harrisoni
Taxonomy
Headonophis harrisoni was named by Holman (1993). Its type specimen is MSUVP 1342 (single trunk vertebra) and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Headon Hill HH2, Lower Headon Beds, Isle of Wight, which is in an Eocene marine claystone/claystone in the Lower Headon Beds Formation of the United Kingdom. It is the type species of Headonophis.
