Taxonomy
Indiagama gujarata was named by Rana et al. (2013). Its type specimen is GU/RSR/VAS-2009 (incomplete left dentary) and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Vastan Lignite Mine, which is in a Ypresian lagoonal siltstone/claystone in the Cambay Shale Formation of India. It is the type species of Indiagama.
