Julia girondica se rencontre dans différents sites aquitaniens, elle est proche de Julia douvillei Cossmann & Peyrot, 1914 de l'Oligocène supérieur d'Aquitaine à laquelle elle succède. JENSEN (1996) a précisé la position des Juliidae au sein des Sacoglossa. |
