Chirotherium herculis
Taxonomy
Chirotherium herculis was named by Egerton (1839). It is considered to be a form taxon. It is a trace fossil. Its type locality is Tarporley, which is in a Triassic terrestrial sandstone in the United Kingdom.
It was considered a nomen dubium by King et al. (2005); it was recombined as Isochirotherium herculis by Haubold (1971), Demathieu and Haubold (1972), Haubold (1974), Courel and Demathieu (1976), Demathieu and Demathieu (2004), Gand et al. (2007), Clark and Corrance (2009), Klein et al. (2011), Gand et al. (2012) and Klein and Lucas (2021).
It was considered a nomen dubium by King et al. (2005); it was recombined as Isochirotherium herculis by Haubold (1971), Demathieu and Haubold (1972), Haubold (1974), Courel and Demathieu (1976), Demathieu and Demathieu (2004), Gand et al.
