Taxonomy
Stephanoceras subtumidum was named by Waagen (1875). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Kanthkot Ammonite Bed exposed on bed of Trambau River, which is in an Oxfordian/Kimmeridgian marine sandstone in the Wagad Sandstone Formation of India.
It was recombined as Epimayaites subtumidus by Alberti et al. (2015).
