Helenodora inopinata
Taxonomy
Helenodora inopinata was named by Thompson and Jones (1980). Its type specimen is FMNH PE 29049 and is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Pit 11, Braidwood, Mazon Creek (Piecko coll), which is in a Westphalian D deltaic mudstone in the Carbondale Formation of Illinois. It is the type species of Helenodora.
