Taxonomy
Beorn leggi was named by Cooper (1964). Its type specimen is MCZ 5213 and is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is Cedar Lake (Legg collection), which is in a Campanian terrestrial amber in Canada. It is the type species of Beorn.
