Tanystropheus haasi
Taxonomy
Tanystropheus haasi was named by Rieppel (2001). Its type specimen is HUJ-Pal. TR1, a set of vertebrae (Posterior end of eighth cervical vertebra), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Wadi Ramon, Beneckeia beds, which is in a Pelsonian marine horizon in the Gevanim Formation of Israel.
