Taxonomy
Spiriferina angulata was named by Oppel (1861).

It was recombined as Liospiriferina angulata by Dulai (1992), Alméras and Fauré (2000), Alméras et al. (2007) and Siblik (2008); it was recombined as Cisnerospira angulata by Baeza-Carratalá et al. (2016).
