Marcopoloichthys ani
Taxonomy
Marcopoloichthys ani was named by Tintori et al. (2008). Its type specimen is GMPKU-P-1469, a skeleton, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Dawazi village, Bed Dwz4. (GMPKU collection), which is in a Pelsonian carbonate limestone in the Guanling Formation of China. It is the type species of Marcopoloichthys.
