Placopleurus comptus
Taxonomy
Venusichthys comptus was named by Xu and Zhao (2016). Its type specimen is IVPP V20010, a skeleton, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Luoping biota (IVPP collection), which is in a Pelsonian carbonate lime mudstone in the Guanling Formation of China.
It was recombined as Placopleurus comptus by Tintori et al. (2016).
