| J. D. Longstaff 1933 | This variety has much coarser tubercles and the whorls are more prominent below and more concave above. Tile form is much like a shell Mr. Row]ands has described, but not named, from Gower, and which he considers might be a distinct species (Rowlands, 1928, pp. 41, 42, fig. 6). He also points out that it bears a remarkable resemblance to a much later species from the Lias: namely, L. subrugosa McDonald and Trueman. |
