Eochonetes magna
Taxonomy
Thaerodonta magna was named by Howe (1965). Its type specimen is USNM 145047, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Section H-2 (Helms West Well). Bed 09. Hueco Mountains, west-facing escarpment, which is in a Maysvillian carbonate limestone in the Aleman Formation of Texas.
It was recombined as Eochonetes magna by Bauer and Stigall (2016).
