Taxonomy
Zachrysia fraterna was named by Roth (1988). Its type specimen is SDSNH 28388, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Computer Media (SDSNH 3278), which is in a Lutetian shoreface sandstone in the Scripps Formation of California.
