Taxonomy
Tungussogyrinus bergi was named by Efremov (1939). It is not extant. Its type specimen is PIN 206/1, a partial skeleton. Its type locality is Lower Tunguska River (Bugarikta Formation), PIN 206, which is in a Lopingian/Triassic terrestrial siltstone/claystone in the Bugarikta Formation of the Russian Federation.
