Taxonomy
Fardenia (Fardenia) flexa was named by Rong et al. (2013). Its type specimen is NIGP 139438, a valve (dorsal internal valve), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is AFL 068 Tangtou hill, which is in a Rhuddanian marine limestone in the Shiyang Formation of China.
