Taxonomy
Coeloceras coronatoides was named by Douvillé (1916). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Gebel Aroussieh (Bajocian black limestone), which is in a Bajocian carbonate limestone in Egypt. It is the type species of Telermoceras.
It was recombined as Ermoceras (Telermoceras) coronatoides by Arkell (1952).
