Muensterites okeani

Taxonomy
Ceratites okeani was named by Münster (1841). Its type specimen is BSPG AS VII 420, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is St. Cassian (Munster coll), which is in a Julian carbonate limestone in the Cassian Formation of Italy.

It was recombined as Trachyceras okeani by von Mojsisovics (1882); it was recombined as Muensterites okeani by Urlichs (2017).
