Meiolania mackayi
Taxonomy
Meiolania mackayi was named by Anderson (1925). Its type specimen is AM F17720, a partial skull (left B horn core), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Walpole Island, which is in a Pleistocene terrestrial phosphorite in New Caledonia.

Meiolania mackayi is differentiated from Me. platyceps by the presence of a narrower horn core B, more gracile limb bones and a 30% smaller relative size. |
