Taxonomy
Difuntites furnishi was named by Zhou (2017). Its type specimen is NIGP 139932, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Sidazhai section, KTP5-26, which is in a Wuchiapingian marine claystone in the Shaiwa Formation of China.
