Taxonomy
Fusinus (Priscofusus) stewarti was named by Tegland (1933). Its type specimen is UCMP 32238, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil.

It was recombined as Priscofusus stewarti by Durham (1944) and Moore (1976).
