Hexagrammos achrestus
Taxonomy
Hexagrammos achrestus was named by Jordan and Gilbert (1919). It is extant. Its type locality is Lompoc Quarry, which is in a Tortonian basinal (siliciclastic) diatomite in the Monterey Formation of California.
It was recombined as Achrestogrammus achrestus by David (1943), Fierstine et al. (2012).
