Taxonomy
Dactylogonia vespertina was named by Ross (1970). Its type specimen is USNM 160828 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is D1559 CO, which is in a Whiterockian shallow subtidal limestone in the Antelope Valley Formation of Nevada.
