Synonyms

Neumania was named by Bruton and Harper (1981). Its type is Atelelasma atlanticus.

It was replaced with Palaeoneumania by Hansen and Harper (2005).

It was assigned to Clitambonitidae by Williams et al. (2000); and to Orthida by Sepkoski (2002).
