Taxonomy
Oxoplecia costellata was named by Cooper (1956). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is U. S. Highway 60, 100 yards southeast of Whistle Creek, which is in a Chazyan carbonate limestone/shale in the Whistle Creek Formation of Virginia.
