Taxonomy
Leptaena trabeata was named by Angelin and Lindström (1880). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Kungslena, which is in a Nabala/Vormsi marine shale in the Fjäcka Shale Formation of Sweden.
It was recombined as Plectambonites trabeata by Holtedahl (1916); it was recombined as Sowerbyella trabeata by Cocks and Rong (1989).
