Taxonomy
Hypoturrilites intersignus was named by Atabekyan (1985). Its type specimen is TsGM 100/9431 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Aksu Gorge, Arvaz River (mantelli zone), which is in a Cenomanian marine horizon in Turkmenistan.
