Taxonomy
Actinosepiidae was named by Doyle et al. (1994) [Sepiida with dorsal shield possessing 3 or more rows of closely spaced tubercles radiating and diverging from the posterior.]. It is not extant. Its type is Actinosepia.

It was assigned to Sepiida by Doyle et al. (1994); and to Vampyromorphida by Larson (2010).
