Taxonomy
Siphusauctum lloydguntheri was named by Kimmig et al. (2017). It is considered to be a form taxon. Its type specimen is KUMIP 135150 (obovate calyx-like upper part) and is a compression preserving soft parts. Its type locality is Siphusauctum lloydguntheri type locality in Antimony Canyon, which is in a Steptoean deep subtidal shelf shale in the Langston Formation of Utah.
