Taxonomy
Kamagorgon ulanovi was named by Tatarinov (1999). Its type specimen is PIN 4312/1, a partial skeleton, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Sidorovy Gory, PIN 4312/1, which is in an Ufimian/Kazanian terrestrial horizon in the Russian Federation. It is the type species of Kamagorgon.
