Taxonomy
Scobinella dilleri was named by White (1889).

It was recombined as Volutoderma (Rostellinda) dilleri by Dall (1907); it was recombined as Volutoderma dilleri by Anderson (1958); it was recombined as Rostellinda dilleri by Jones et al. (1978); it was recombined as Carota dilleri by Saul and Popenoe (1993), Haggart et al. (2005).
