Angulaticeras charmassei
Taxonomy
Ammonites charmassei was named by d'Orbigny (1844). Its type specimen is MNHN.F.A01724 or MCZ 3181A and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Semur en Auxois, which is in a Sinemurian carbonate limestone in France. It is the type species of Charmasseiceras.
It was recombined as Angulaticeras charmassei by Bloos (1988); it was recombined as Charmasseiceras charmassei by Enay et al. (1994).
