L. E. Popov and L. R. M. Cocks 2017 | Shell dorsibiconvex, slightly transverse, subrectangular, with obtuse to almost rectangular cardinal extremities and gently unisulcate anterior commissure. Ventral valve subcarinate posteriorly with a prominent, gently curved interarea and narrow open triangular delthyrium. Dorsal valve very gently convex with a planar, anacline interarea and shallow sulcus originating at the umbo. Radial ornament ramicostellate. Ventral interior with strong, simple teeth supported by short, divergent dental plates. Suboval muscle field on pseudospondylium extending beyond the delthyrial cavity and supported anteriorly by a short median ridge. The umbonal area occupied by a small pedicle callist. Ventral mantle canals saccate with closely placed, subparallel vascula media. Dorsal interior with a simple, ridge-like cardinal supported anteriorly by the thickened shaft, Notothyrial platform low, subtrinagilar with a pair of prominent notothyrial ridges. Brachiophores blade-like, defining elongate sockets. Dorsal adductor muscle quadripartite, bisected by a low median ridge. |
