Gregorovå 1991 | Oligolactoria, new genus, differs from all other genera of the family Ostraciidae by the following: carapace extending far posteriorly, about to level of penultimate vertebral centrum, with only one or two peduncular vertebrae posterior to posterior edge of carapace; a single peduncular vertebra (PU2) compressed anteroposteriorly; caudal fin extremely long (45% to 56% SL) at relatively small specimen size, and perhaps with only nine rays; exceptionally deep grooves on preorbital and preanal carapace spines. |
