Taxonomy
Fissurella behri was named by Dickerson (1914) [questionably attributed to Fissurella by Dickerson, 1914]. It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is UCMP 243, south of Muir Station, which is in a Selandian coastal siliciclastic in the Vine Hill Formation of California.
