Westgardia gigantea
Taxonomy
Westgardia gigantea was named by Rowland and Carlson (1983). Its type specimen is USNM 365111, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Poleta Formation, Blanco Mountain, which is in a Dyeran marine limestone in the Poleta Formation of California.
