Taxonomy
Hypergoniatites kardailovkensis was named by Nikolaeva and Konovalova (2017). Its type specimen is PIN 4920/215, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Verkhnyaya Kardailovka, level 19.7, which is in a Serpukhovian carbonate limestone in the Russian Federation.
