Proterotainia montana

Taxonomy
Proterotainia montana was named by Walter et al. (1976). Its type specimen is USNM 210911, an other, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Sawmill Canyon, which is in a Calymmian offshore ramp shale/siltstone in the Greyson Formation of Montana. It is the type species of Proterotainia.
