Proterotainia neihartensis
Taxonomy
Helminthoidichnites neihartensis was named by Walcott (1899). Its type specimen is USNM 210914, an other, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Deep Creek Canyon, which is in a Calymmian marine horizon in the Greyson Formation of Montana.
It was recombined as Proterotainia neihartensis by Walter et al. (1976).
