Eoleptonema australicum
Taxonomy
Eoleptonema australicum was named by Schopf (1983). It is considered to be a form taxon. Its type specimen is CPC 20204, coordinates 51.5x103.7 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is North Pole Dome, locality A, which is in a Paleoarchean marine chert in the Dresser Formation of Australia. It is the type species of Eoleptonema.
