Taxonomy
Kolymia pontoneica was named by Biakov (2018). Its type specimen is SVKNII 79/02-06.98, a shell, and it is a mold. Its type locality is Sample 775-4, Enal'atyn'ya Creek, Kichavayam River Basin, which is in a Roadian marine siliciclastic in the Russian Federation.
