Taverneichthys bikanericus
Taxonomy
Taverneichthys bikanericus was named by Kumar et al. (2005). Its type specimen is JNVU ⁄ GEOL ⁄ PAL 502, a skull, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Hadla-Bhatiyan village well, which is in a Paleocene terrestrial shale in the Palana Formation of India. It is the type species of Taverneichthys.
